computer keeps restarting

my computer keeps restarting itself or disconnecting from the internet (i then have to restart the computer before it will reconnect back to the internet) i then get a error message come up asking if i want to send the error report or not it says on some of the error reports that its something to do with hot spot virtual although it as said other things too it mainly goes off when i am on game sites i.e iwin.com although it can do it at anytime dont understand what is going on with it as i dont know alot about computers i have avg antivirus installed but i tried to run another scan with spybot but computer restarted itself halfway through the first time the second time it said the computer had no viruses and was fine does anyone know what is going on with it and give some advice as to what can be done thanks

do a system restore to a date before the problems started, if you are using XP.
