Is it not possible to Download Microsoft Security Updates if you are using Firefox?The reason I ask is they say I have an Invalid Key so can't validate. Windows XP was pre-loaded on My PC from new.Many Thanks for any replies.

No, the downloader uses something called ActiveX which Firefox doesn't support. Even if it did, it would still report your version of XP as having an invalid key.

Thanks oBonio,but what can I do now? There has been a warning on Teletext and Ceefax about a new superbug and everyone is advised to update security.

Well I f you have windows XP then you must have normal internet explorer, just go on the update site with internet expolrer rather than Firefox.

If it still tell's you you have an invalid key then you're pretty much up $HlT street without a shovel and were ripped off :-)

You could try and get Windows Nemesis Titan Edition... apparently that works even after Microsloth disabled updates for pirated operating systems... nur nur
