It looks like a good deal, everything you need for college and even a bag!

You might want to buy the student edition of Microsoft Office, too (although Microsoft Works is included)
Hi tiggeralix I think ive bought the same one for uni only it's from currys and hasn't arrived yet, but I dont get a bag with it and its the same price!!
Overall it seems reasonable, but two comments:

It is a very small screen, 14 inches does not give you a lot of room to work with.

No wireless capability.

I have had a look on the Dell web site and there is a Dell Inspiron 1300 (N09136) with a 15.4 inch screen and a bigger hard disk (60Gb), and wireless for 378 pounds.

No case but Dell are a well known name. I think this is a better deal.
Also here is a fujitsu siemens laptop with 15.4 inch screen from Staples at 339 pounds. Has built in wireless.

thanks for advice will let u know what i eventually get
I know I have said it already, but a 14" screen is VERY small.

You will soon become annoyed and frustrated with it.

Remember is a diagonal measurement (one corner to another).

If you have another monitor you can use measure 14" diagonal across it to see how small it is.

I would try to go for a 15.4" if you can, you will not regret it in the long term.
