I'd advise you don't buy the cheapest and to buy one with a well-known name.

The cheap ones are prone to fail to burn CDs and/or produce unreliable burns. You just end up wasting blanks and you can't trust what you've made.

Try ebuyer.
Nowadays you should maybe try looking at a DVD burner.

Why a dvd burner ?
See my reply on your other append.

A DVD burner will burn CDs as well.

A CD holds about 700Mb of data, a DVD about 4Gb of data, more at dual layer.

Go for a DVD writer.
Every time. But then you may wanna consider one that burns dual layer dvds. They're not THAT much more expensive and have the ability of burning onto dual layer discs holding twice as much.
Can't think you'd find them much cheaper than 4.99 for an internal CD writer at ukdvdr.co.uk
My computer is a bit long in the tooth (6yrs old) and doesn't have much memory. I therefore couldn't install a dvd writer so I bought a cdrw-dvd combi drive (plays cd's and dvd's and also rewrites cd's) from CCL Online. It does exactly what it says on the tin. Try this link:
