I have recently cracked the screen on my Nokia 6280 and was thinking of buying a replacement case off ebay, and was wondering are they easy to replace ??

95% of the time, complicated fascias will come complete with a kit to replace the cover, so double check before you buy.

It might be complicated, but it is something you have got to do.

you will usually need a torx screwdriver - often a size 6 but could be different
i recently did a 6820 (not the same model as yours) and it was very difficult, but this site helped - heres a link - its to my phone but it will take you to a list of other models
