DVD-R x8 Speed....

I have 2 discs, bit 8x DVD-R 4.7GB. With one my pc will only copy at 2x and the other disc it will allow me to copy at 4x. Same disc, different make. Why is this????

Your description is not very clear, but if you mean that the actual medium is marked 8x, then this is the maximum speed at which it can safely be written. The maximum speed at which *you* can write to it will depend on what you are writing, whether you are buffering to HD, the performance of your computer, and the specification of DVD Writer you are using

i mean, i insert 2 discs, same speed just different make. One will only burn at 4x and the other only at 2x.....why???
