say you deleted a day in your history, other than doing a search for the website name, how can you look at everything you looked at that day? (in IE that is)

thanks, I can find index.dat but when I open it using notepad all i get is a blank page, nothing there!
oh, tracyh; well i suggest you got index.dats in each account including default, guest admin etc and several other places [i got 19]. check the file size of the one you looking at; an 'empty' one is 32k you probably got a few unused like that; type index.dat in Start button Search box check 'advanced options show all files' then look at the file sizes, one will likely be bigger in size maybe even huge - that will be the one to open in notepad. :-)
