I have recently noticed that sometimes when I'm signing in to Hotmail, the space where I type in my email address is yellow. A colleague suggested that this is a warning that a hi-jacker was present on my computer. I find this hard to believe but can anyone advise me. Thanks

Do you have the google toolbar installed? This colours input fields if it knows a prefilled value for it (like your hotmail login, for instance).

Yes, Hotmail tool bar is installed. I don't really want it but it installed itself quite recently when I downloaded something else - a free virus scan I think.

Sorry, should read Google tool bar
You can uninstall through Add/Remove Programs or disable it through IE (Tools menu, Programs tab, Manage Add-ons and select anything published by Google and disable it).
