Hi,
I have a TV that has a big green blob on the right hand side of the screen. i think its to do with the fact that it used to have a speaker next to it and the magnet has messed it up. Basicly i was wondering if there is a way to fix it? thanks in advance.

When I was a kid my dad had some magnets which cleaned the fish tank (one went either side of the glass). Of course a magnet is a great toy for a kid so I was brushing it over stuff to see what it picked up and I put it on top of the TV.

This of course messed the TV up as you described. However by using the opposite pole of the magnet I managed to put it back the way it was.

Have a look at this, but I'm not saying it's going to work :)

I used to work for sony, and this happens alot. all they do in the factory is drag little magnets around on the back of the tube and stick them where the picture is best. it's easier to see if the screen is red.
Anybody out there, will "degaussing" the tv help here?
