3G mobiles

I have just received a mobile phone upgrade which is 3G - however they have also sent me a new SIM. Is this because it is 3G?! I need to copy all my numbers across as well though - as both phones are samsung should I be able to do this via the computer?

i just got the z400 which i also had to transfer numbers. i put my old sim in new phone and copied them 'to phone'. did you remember to activate your new sim ?

Ah - didn't know I had to activate my new sim! That makes sense. Am having to copy my numbers to my sim one by one though which is why I asked about the computer thing - the phone doesn't have the option to copy all numbers to sim grrrrr!
