keep losing internet connection

i have broadband through madasafish ,which uses a voyager 120 modem .the problem im having is whenever i turn on another usb device i.e my printer or plug in my creative mp3 player i lose my connection ,sometimes i can get it back if i reboot the modem but mostly i have to reboot the p.c .
i have all the correct microfilters in place so i dont think its a problem with the line or isp.
are there any changes i can make to my pc to stop it cutting me off?
any ideas anybody? thanks .

hmm, sounds like some kind of power failiure, do you have "front" and "back" usb ports?
or a hub connected to a non board based usb..

the front usbs sometimes have problems with powered usb items, prionters modems etc, try moving all of your usb things that look like they might need a bit of power to use into the back, and stuff like your keyboard and non wireless mouse to the front,

This is a USB problem try updating your USB drivers (use device manager)
