Getting movies on to an iPod
5 Answers
Just bought a brand new 30gb iPod - one of the ones which also plays movies but having trouble getting them on there. Couple of questions:
1. The guy in the shop said I could copy DVDs on to itunes and then on to the ipod but tried this last night and it didn't work - is this actually possible and if so how do you do it?
2. I thought you could download movies from the itunes store but can't seem to find any on there - am I just being thick and not looking in the right place or does itunes not actually sell movies, and if not then where can I download them from so that they will work on my ipod and how much do they cost?
Any help much appreciated. TIA.

Basically you need to make sure you convert the DVD to iPod format. If you use a mac, handbrake should work well (free software). If you're on windows, then some of the tools in the above link should work.

Maybe you can try 'Wondershare DVD to iPod Ripper', it can convert DVD to MP4 format for playing on iPod, supports transfer converted video to iPod directly without iTunes, I always use it to enjoy my DVD on iPod, very easy to use. you may download for a trial
