My daughter has just returned home from Uni with her laptop for Christmas. When she tries to play a pre-recorded film on DVD she gets the following message. 'The TV out port of your display card is not working propoerly. This copy protected disc cannot be played when the TV out function is enabled'

Other DVDs play OK its just pre-recorded films.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Thanks, Alan

Alan - has a different dvd played successfully on the laptop since this problem?

Ethel - yes other DVDs like music ones and the ones given away in the Sunday papers play OK. It's just copy righted film DVD's where the error message appears.
I have come across a similar problem before and I recomnended downloading VL C- a free media player.

Thanks Ethel - I down loaded the software that you suggested and it plays the DVD fine. I now have one contented daughter again!
