Hey, this has been going on for months and is really starting to annoy me, it happened all-of-a-sudden. Basicially i only have sound coming out of my main speaker ie; the one with the power cable attached but it comes out of the other if u leave the audio jack resting in the hole not pushed in properly, i have re-installed the drivers and made sure that the on-board sound part was connected properly. i want to buy a 2:1 speaker package but not if the problem continues and dont really want to buy a sound card but will if there is no other option. Any help will be grateful ! Thanks.

Nope Everything looks fine there, im only running a normal 2 desktop speaker setup, u know the ones that always come with pc's i dont think i installed anything at the time to make it go, also it works when i move the jack around ??
Sounds like the connection at the "Hole" end is loose / faulty. You say it works if you move it around so that suggests that it is now a software problem. Can you take anything apart (assuming not laptop or guarantee still available) and have a look? May need resoldering somewhere. I assume the "hole" is in an unpowered second speaker unit. (if it is can you borrow one from someone else to check) Might also be the lead that is faulty - above will help you check.
Oops that should have said "NOT a software problem"
