Video cassette to dvd

I have tried to record a music video to dvd on my vcr/dvd recorder unit. But it keeps saying that I can't record this program, is there any way around it. I really want to protect these rare music videos too, as many are deleted now.

The video will not copy because like commercial dvd's it is copy protected.
This is a particular problem with the dvd/vcr combi units

What you will have to do is get a device that overcomes "macrovision" and then using a separate vcr unit copy to the dvd recorder.

Do a google for "macrovision removal" and you will see what is available
