how do i remove the cancel option on my windows98 network login, so that when cancel is pressed users can still use the computer?

If I understand your question right, you want to STOP people logging on without a password? If that's the case, you need to change the network properties to log on to an NT domain, then make this your primary login (sounds more complex than it is)
