When i play my CD's (That has been ripped from CD's that i own), I cannot get the sound correct from windows media player. It mainly plays the background music and backing singing and the main artist can be heard in the background. I have checked the speakers but do not know what else to check? Can anyone help please?

Double click on the Speaker icon - at the bottom right of the task bar. See if there is anything there that might need moving up.

Also under the "now playing" button in Media Player 11 click the down arrow and follow the enhancements line. Here you will find the graphic equalizer button. Has this been altered to change the sound? Have a look.
