when I look at the activity it says 51,000 packets received. Is this 51,000 bytes?

...apparently u can change from packets back to bytes. Anyone know how?

Not quite, but you're in the ball park. A packet is a method of carrying bytes, but also has information included to allow the computer receiving to put them all together in the correct order, type of code used, that kind of thing.
