How come every time I put a link in an answer it appears with ' target=_blank> ' appended to the front of the link. This is exremely annoying as it causes the link to open in the same window instaed of a new one. Any ideas ?

P.S. The link appears okay when I type the answer e.g. http://www.
but when I submit the answer it has a target=_blank> on the front e.g. target=_blank>http://www.
rinkytink - it's a quirk of the system: not perfect, but get-roundable. When pasting a link into your answer hit the space bar a few times before and after the link.... for some reason the site prefers that and displays the link correctly.

Can I take back those stars AB Editor !!! I've just posted a link in an answer - putting ten spaces and several returns before and after the answer. Still no joy !!!

[Just been in to tidy that one up for you: it looked like you put a BR break next to the link.. put some spaces between them next time! Just to add that from experience 2-3 spaces are enough. Maybe 10 are too many? Technology: don't you just love it! - AB Editor]
