Batteries, Size N?

I've seen some things using a size N of battery, but i personally am only familiar with AAA, AA, C and D..... is N a completely different battery or is it the same as one of the aforementioned, but for some reason got called N, maybe in a cross atlantic change?

The IEC designation is LR1

lol but still thats not telling me.... they look the same size as C batteries, am i right?

An 'N' type cell is is just over half the length and about half the diameter of a 'C' type cell...
