I wasn't sure what category "Photography" came under, so I apologise if this is the wrong category.

I would like some duplicate photos done (I've got a fair few!). Am I better getting them done from the negatives or from the original photos? Price and quality are obviously factors!

Quality will be better if you duplicate from negatives. In my experience it has always been cheaperas well. If you are having selected photographs from a large number of negatives, the manual work involved would be more because of having to sort through the negatives rather than having a pile of prints to scan and copy.

Thanks.

I would imagine the "final count" of duplicates required would be approx 100.

The originals are in various albums, but "to hand". The negatives are also "to hand".
I find the cheapest method is to use Bonusprint's online printing service. You submit the photos online, and frequently get the prints back the next day. Cost ranges from 12p per print. A lot more economical than buying paper and printing inks, by the way.

I haven't got the time (nor the inclination) to scan all the pics I need - which I would surely have to do if I'm using an in-line service?
I have just been looking at prices for reprints and they are astronomical (over 1 each for a 6 x 4). I'd rather buy an Epson RX 520 multifunction printer and scan the negatives and print them myself. At least you will still have the printer at the end of it.
