I've just bought the above item and noticed a serial port on the back. There's no mention of this in the mannual anyone know what it's for? Can I connect it up to my laptop?

According to this ( http://www.pace.co.uk/paceproducts/Specs/DT/DT450_
spec.pdf ) it is a serial port for "send data input/output". Why not setup a hyperterminal session with it? My guess is that it is for updating firmware or something.
