window size in internet explorer

can anyone tell me how to change the window size permanently in internet explorer?

i want the programme to open at a smaller size automatically.
i mean the main window not the webpages viewed.

i want to be able to see my desktop around the edges, without having to manually adjust ot every time

i looked in help and it explained but the box it told me to tick is not there...

i am on winxp. thanks

Open your browser.

Drag the edges of the window (side and bottom) to make the window the size you want it.

If the window is maximized and your cant drag the edges, select the middle icon in the top right (restore I think) and it should make the blue edges of the window appear.

One you have the window the size you want it close down the browser.

Next time you open it it should be the size you set it as.
