Symbol on mobile phone

I've got a Sony Ericsson W810i mobile phone. In the last few days a symbol has appeared on the screen (top left).

I just wondered what it means.

It's black and white, an X-shaped cross with a vertical bar on it's left side. It appears between the signal strength and the keys locked symbols.

I don't think it's a profile symbol, because if I go to the Normal profile it is still there.
