Hi Folks

My boyfriend nearly always blinks when having pict taken (at night time with flash) does this function stop both problems, i.e. blinking and the appearance of red eyes?

"Red-eye reduction flash mode" is defined by Comet as "reduces the possibility of red eyes by sending out a flash, or beam of light to reduce the pupil size before the main flash fires" Any idea?

This is a crucial feature we must find on a camera before purchasing. All help much appreciated. Thanks in advance. C

to be sarcstic ... "the hint is in the name"
but to be truthful - the hint is in the name
it's reduction ... not an illimination

if he's one of those dedicated pop-eyed starers it will reduce ... but may well not illiminate
(esp after a glass of the falling down water!)

you can always "hedge your bets" and invest in a graphics programme that allows you to easily edit out redeye
(you might even get one with the camera!)

failing that ... buy him sunglasses .... and tell everyone he's a pilot
