I have lost a lot of my channels on my freeview, it was working fine, so I know the reception is ok, then I moved it to another room, and have tired re-tuning it but a lot of the channels are now missing including 3,4,5, itv2 and E4 and lots more what can be the problem

Reception can vary between rooms in the same house even. A friend of mine had perfect reception in her bedroom, but her housemate in the next room couldn't get a signal. It's possible that may be it.
What type of ariel are you using (internal or external)?

Does your machine display signal strength
If you are using an internal ariel zip is probably right
also ... if external ... and you've moved the box because you've got a bigger better one to replace it ... you may need to invest in an ariel amplifier
I recently fixed tuning problems on three TV's in very different situations. All the problems came down to poor connection on the aerial lead from the wall socket to the first input. One cable was ancient, one was new and one very expensive but they were all problematic. I replaced them all with cheap alloy uhf plugs made by Ross and bought from Rober Dyas for about £2.70 a pack of two. They do not need soldering because there is a screw clamp on the central conductor.
