Is my TV dying?!

When it has been on a little while I get scratchy lines across the bottom of the scrren- takes up about 2 inches, and there are about 4 lines. They flicker. If I switch the TV off it goes- but is soon back again.

Any idea what is causing it?

Sounds like your tube's dying. Try adjusting the vertical hold, but if it's not like that all the time that won't help. New tv time I'm afraid
