I'm planning to buy a freeview box tomorrow.
As we only have an old indoor aerial i figured I had better buy a new one.
I've noticed that not only do they vary in price but also in how much they amplify the signal, for example: up to 8db, 20db or even up to 46db.
How much of a difference is this and does it really matter?
Please bare in mind that I've no idea what db is!!!
We bought a freeview box and a brand new booster indoor aerial for 30 so we'd get a good reception. The aerial was no better than our old one in fact it was worse. It all depends on what kind of reception you can get with any indoor aerial. Don't buy an expensive aerial until trying your old one.
depends were u live! lf on a hill it il be great! try the old one first like they say! I got an loft aerial and booster box for 50 quid the picture is 100%
