measure broadband usage

i was woundering if anyone could recomend a free program to measure the amount of my broadband limit i am using per month on my laptop through a wireless conection. I had net meter which i found the style of very good however it slowed my computer down so much it was worse than dial up so i have had to uninstall it. DOes anyone know of another program that is good and wont slow my computer down so much it feels like its been built in the dark ages?

thanks for your quick response cazzz1975 but thats not quite what i was looking for.

That measures the speed and band with available at a given time. I want to know how much im up loading and downloading each month

hi kt84...the program you are looking for is called 'down2home'...it is brilliant.. it gives you all the information on your internet usage.....I have been using it for the past year.....and it's free.

you can download from various sites....use google and search 'down2home'
