hi all, have bought someone a video camera, and it needs a sd /mmc card. is a sandisc sd card o.k. for the camera? is a mmc card different to a sd card, or are they the same thing.

An SD and MMC are similar. MMC cards are smaller and fit in an adaptor so they fit in an SD slot. I would choose the SD card, they're more readily available. Sandisk are the best make for the cards
I,ve bought various SD type from suppliers found on google,and haven't had any problem with any make.Some are faster than others ,but if that isn't a major consideration just shop around.There are only a limited number of actual manufacturers,just different suppliers get from these few and identify the card with their brand.Try Ebuyer or just put SD memory in Google
