pc wont load

I'm running ME and closed my PC last night after a stint of just Hibernating it. Now the bl@@dy thing won't boot up. How do I get it to boot and what should I look for to correct it?

Oh, great timong, Mine did that on Tuesday night. Taking it to PC World tmw. Unless someone knows the answer

when you start up as its loading keep your finger on ctrl on the left of your keyboard when that appears start in either safe mode, or start in last setting. it will promt you good luck.

Tried booting in Safe mode but even then I had no cursor, just a blue screen. Resorted to reloading ME from the manufacturer's Recovery Disks which fortunately retained all of my data files. All ok now.
