whats the best programme to first detect spy/adware, then remove it?. i have been looking at spyware doctor and spy sweeper,but would you say would solve my problem? thanx in advance guys

I use Adaware from http://www.lavasoft.com
It's free and I run it maybe once or twice a month to get rid of the nastys.

If you use Ad-Aware and Spybot in combination they should handle all potential threats.

I've been using Spy Sweeper and Window Washer from Webroot and they are excellent, very user friendly and not intrusive, make sure you get the Spy Sweeper with the AntiVirus feature. There is an annual subscription but it's cheap and the customer service is very good
