DVD D.E.D!!!!

Help! my DVD player keeps telling me there is a c13 fault,which means the disc is dirty.it says it for all my discs.Is the lazer broken? if so is it worth repairing?I payed a lot of money for my Sony player. should I just save up for a new one? It is about 4 years old and has been great up untill now.

Perhaps the eye is dirty. Can't you try a cleaning disc before replacing or repairing it?

yep - id say try a disc cleaner first as well ... only that dvd players do get worn out - liek anything i suppose so u might find that u'll end up buying one ... good luck

I tried a disc cleaner and it couldn't read it!! I think I can hear it laughing.

I had the same problem, as the warrenty has already ran out if u feel daring remove the cover and use a cotton wool bud and some alchohol based cleaning solution and gently wipe the lens. Just remeber to put all the screws back in. It worked for after i had already tried a cleaning disc. Good luck
