Pentax, especially in the film camera days was top of the line. So, while many reviews are so-so, I would suggest that you perform due diligence before making a purchase. There are some really good digital cameras available for about the same price, at least here in the U.S.

I used to use Steve's digicam, very good, but a bit biased towards USA.

I really like this Sony product:

For the price (low to mid-range) there's a lot of features and Sony has gratly improved their product over the last two years, in my opinion. If you happen to buy this one (or many other camparable cameras) keep in mind that most do not come with the requisite electronic memory media, such as Sony's memory-stick. Be sure to either order one or buy it at the camera shop... Best of luck!

Hi 'kiera'. I .looked at the E-35 but have just bought the M 40.I guess it all comes down to money and what you are wanting. The M 40 isn't that much more expensive (84 at Ebuyer) but has a better specification and is slimmer and lighter. But there is so much to choose from out there, it's all a matter of personal choice.
