downgrading broadband

At the moment I have Sky broadband max which is costing me �10 a month. As I am trying to reduce my bills I am thinking of cancelling it and going for the free braodband option. Will this make much difference for generally surfing the net and coming on here or is the faster connection based on quicker downloading which is something I don't do?

I have the free sky broadband and find it perfectly adequate and I think that you are right in what you say it is really just for quicker downloading.

So I certainly would go for that if I was you.
