frozen cursor
5 Answers
My main computer has a hard drive ( 250 GB capacity )
partitioned into drives C, D, E, F and G.
The computer is split into 2 accounts, ie one for my wife and one for myself.
When the computer reaches the screen with the 2 accounts shown, if one moves the cursor and presses enter on the required account the cursor freezes and one cannot get any further.
Each account has a password but one cannot get that far as the cursor will not move.
I thought that by placing this Hard drive in my other computer as a slave drive, I would be able to over come this problem and correct whatever had gone wrong.
I can access the drive but I cannot gain entry to the screen showing the accounts to sort out what has gone wrong.
Any help in this matter would be appreciated.

I really am stuck about how I can sort this problem out and
hope that somebody can offer some help.
You won't be able to change any of the accounts on the drive if you boot from different drive because you'll be loading a different registry.
I suggest that you put the drive back in the original computer, and try booting in safe mode. If you can get into safe mode you can then try a system restore.
