When i download a movie, convert it and put it on disc and then play it does it judder.when the camera is panning across it isn't smooth like normal. Any suggestions? Thanks
It's determined in two ways .... the picture quality (both pixels and number of colours (low settings tend to result in a picture which is made out of "blocks" of colour
and
the sample rate which "cuts" the action into a series of slices .... the fewer the slices the jerkier the fast action will be.
it's a case of balance
if you recode a dvd to fit a cd ..... (I often fit 10 hours onto a single dvd .... not brilliant ... but not bad on a small screen)
so a single movie on, at a push a CD should look reasonable on a screen less than 30"
more would need a dvd.
1) Restart your computer and process the video without any other programs running (and just leaving it). Turn off everything you can, including antivirus if possible.
2) Most transcoders have a 'two pass' option. This doubles the encoding time, but results in higher quality.
3) Not much you can do about it, but a higher performance computer will produce better results, given the way these programs and the OS is programmed.
