Outlook Calls

I know you can make a telephone call from outlook but do you require a dial up connection or could you make the call using a broadband connection thorugh the router etc.

You need a dial-up connection.

If you didn't, we'd all be making free phone calls!

There are programs (like Skype and Tesco Internet Phone) which let you make phone calls with a broadband connection (free to other users of the same program, chargeable to landlines).
