Hi All

I have an Emachines 740 and i wanted to upgrade my video card, so i was sure what type to buy so i took the video card out, went and bought the new one, came home, reinstalled windows on the old video card and when i switch the computer on, it says pci.sys missing or corrupt. please repair windows by pressing r to recover. the thing is, i only have the restore cd's. any info would be extremely helpful

Thank you

Not sure I follow:

1) Why did you reinstall Windows>
2) What do you mean by reinstalled on the old video card?

If you reinstalled, did you reinstall all the drivers, including most particularly the motherboard drivers?
