I currently have the free download version of AVG on my computer, and the year is up next Saturday. How do I go about renewing it, bearing in mind that it was in for repair when AVG was installed and I know no details of its instrallation?

To remove it:
Select Start, Control Panel, Add and Remove Programmes. Then select the AVG entry and click on Remove Programme.
Then go on internet and reinstall the latest version just as you did last year.

Postbag. That is exactly what i believe too. I have both the AVG Anti-virus Free Edition AND AVG Anti-Spyware Free Edition and they do not need renewing.

Not sure about with AVG Lorcan, but sometimes you're instructed to click on and then type in a reference number or something, which sees you through for another year. If this is the case with the AVG free home editions, I'm sure you'll find out eventually. I have it as well, but it was only installed a few months ago.
