*good lord did they all go on the titanic II*

Been to town, I was in a shop talking with one of the managers and I was trying to make him understand which one of his co-workers I was referring to, a woman I've talked to on previous occasions. I'd forgotten her name so he had to help by asking questions of me. This one cracked me up: "Was she petite or was she black?"

...ha ha ha ha ha.

Ha.

*what are they all doing*
Morning..mizmog here.
There's no need to go on the Titanic, I'm sinking fast here all by myself - into a slough of despond. I don't think Clive Owen covered in chocolate could make me smile at the moment and just to make things worse some noisy bloody gang decided to have a meeting outside my house at 3.30ish this morning & I didn't get back to sleep afterwards.

Erm, was she petite or black Kit? :o) Stockholm was briefly on the tv yesterday, according to the travel reporter (can't remember who it was, I was staring at it in a fog) your Christmas markets are better than Munich's...prettier he said.
Hello - poor Robi - hope ou feel better soon.

My itching has abated slightly cos I'm on pills for pruitus(?) am off to hospital to see thyroid doctor. Have rushed to village to get xmas wrapping paper but it's too early here (they have everything else - bought tree lights yesterday) so have ended up with some orange paper with gold stars and red paper with gold stars cos want to post them off tomorrow.
Back home again, Dr says thyroid is now controlled and the itching and leg cramps are nothing to do with it (or the fatness!) Damned that means must start walking again and eating helthily.
phew, glad to see something about neti is under control. There's a pavement escalator??? I didn't know! I went up the hard, steep way on foot. Grrr
What metro station did you alight from? The pavement escalator is only availbale from Valcarca but by 'eck jno it's a long trot even to the escalator, all up back streets and quiet lonely. Had to laugh as all the residents were going up with their shopping. The Red (North route) tourist bus stops right outside the park gates even if the other buses were on strike. it's also hell of of a long walk from Lesseps but with shops to look at! I just love the area!
....and *quite*
Did Doc martin finish?
I've googled it and it seems I went up the very next street after getting off at Villcarca. Bah. We were told all buses were on strike, which was why we used metro/feet, but little ones did appear to be running. However we hadn't bothered to look up routes, thinking there wouldn't be any. Oh well, we did see it, and strolled back to Lesseps.
One word jno "Wally" :-)
Evening, possums. Yeah Christmas markets we can probably manage. Tea is worse http://www.thelocal.se/23320/20091117/ I'm afraid it's only too true what the Paddy says...
evening...I've often wished that pavements were moving....

hang on....

.... well I'll go to the foot of our moving stairs, Stannah do walkways...deep joy, I'll write to the city council immediately

Wat, no cuppa?! That's it then Sweedie, we'll open An Olde English Tea Shoppe with good old builder's tea & scones (as in 'bones' *ahem!*). I can't function until I've had 2 mugs of PG.
Oh well I think I'll come to Spain then if they reckon this things have nothing to do with my underactive thyroid . My doctor has been obviously been lying through his teeth to me and inflicts these three monthly blood tests on me for fun .I'm glad you are under control Neti .I wish I was .Mind you I haven't been on this higher dose for long so hopefully it will kick in soon .

Welcome back Jno .I hope you had a good time .
Nothing doing here ,very windy round the lokes and chilly .
FAO Jude. Scores on the doors.. 24.
Moving walkways ? Brilliant .I'll fit one round my kitchen. I'll be able to glide past the pantry grab the Golden Syrup bottle ,have a quick glug and glide off again .
Very true about the tea Kit .In my travels and sojourns abroad I have yet to come across any establishment that makes a decent cup of tea as we know it .
My eldest half sister actually wants to open a tea house but probably not while the kids are still so young. Rooibos is my favourite - except that isn't tea, not strictly speaking. I definitely prefer the non-perfume teas (Twinings English Breakfast Tea, Twinings Darjeeling, Twinings Simply Tea) but as it says in that spot-on article the cafés here excel in yucky flavours. But it's no problem at all buying decent tea in a grocery store - and there's always The English Shop http://www.spottedbyl...malm/the-english-shop It's close to where I live so I'll try to remember to check PG tea out the next time I go there - if it's not perfumy. They are very nice people, running it. You should hear our dialogues, it's completely befuddling the way they and I both jump between English and Swedish to make ourselves understood:)

Now now, Shaney and Robinia, we'll see if we can't make you take the stairs after all http://www.youtube.co...0aPyw&feature=related
(The English Shop text loads very slowly, don't lose faith...)
Oh yes ..Neti PS ..Doc Martin has finished .The last one was last Sunday week . Not this Sunday gone the one before that .Can you get to see it or shall I tell you what happened :) I don't know if there's to be another series.
Apparently the natives of the place it's filmed in are up in arms because they are getting Doc Martin tourists and they can't cope with the influx traffic wise etc .
haha, the stairs are brilliant Sweedie! All you'd hear if I was there is ♫plinkplonkplinkplonketyplink♫...as I fell down them :o) I Love the way the English shop is mostly chocolate & sweets...I see a few of my usual buys there, maltesers, Terry's choc orange....erm, you can't buy cremola pudding can you? I'd like a lorry load please.

I've watched Doc Martin a few times & as much as I love martin Clunes I can't say I'm a huge fan of it, some of the characters are irritating, especially the teacher. Lovely scenery though. I do prefer Kingdom....bring it back!!
Back off Robinia, Martin Clunes is mine!
Evening each. Hope all is well with you all. Shaney very well done I only got 6 this week.. You must have a degree or something along with a brilliant memory.
I like my Sainsburys Red Label tea but I only dip the tea-bag in and out of the water so it is very weak. I don't make proper tea in a pot. Do any of you?
The musical stairs are brilliant Kit. What a good idea. Too expensive of course to do all over the place but for a bit of fun and exercise - great!!
Been to Tai Chi today and then to a little pub called The Carpenters for lunch. It's in a little village called Dale Abbey just outside Derby. Been for a walk this afto while the weather was good. I think it's raining now but as Bob Dylan says Some people feel the rain and others just get wet.
Evening Jude, are you getting Bob Dylan's Christmas album?
