hello there!!!! can somebody point me in the right direction to create my own website not using ms word, or yahoo/geocities.com ne suggestions appreciated thanks people!

If you've got MS Office, you may have FrontPage aswell. Not my first choice (Macromedia Dreamweaver is better), but if you're just starting out, it's worth a try.

I can recommend a package called Webeasy Pro which costs about 40 quid I think. For a beginner it's probably better than Frontpage or Dreamweaver. Dreamweaver is good but expensive and aimed more at professionals.
