Sir/Madam; My questions are as follows, 1. What is the diffrence between Boot Sracp Loader & Boot Loader? 2.Who is responsible for the that window in which user can select one of the O.S. & then its loaded in the main memory? 3.There is a separate boot loader for each O.S. Ex. LILO is a boot loader for the Linux ,it can load Windos ? Thanking you, Your's faithfully Darshan

If this is for your degree as you specified before, I'm very surprised. We covered this in A-Level Computing. 1. They are one in the same. 2. I don't understand. The boot loader gives the user the option which OS to load, if that's what you mean. 3. No, there is only ever one boot loader and yes, LILO can boot windows. I don't think the windows boot loader can boot Linux though. HTH
