Any ISP will allow you access to the internet. It doesn't matter if the site you want is in the UK or Uzbekistan. For example, this is a UK based site, yet you can access it ok from NZ.

HI squarebear

yes that's true but I want to be able to view BBC shows on BBC I-player, which I cannot do using my NZ ISP, the same goes for live radio commentary on BBC.

cheers
I think you will only get one if you have a UK phone number.
it's not and ISP you need, it's a uk based proxy server,

A proxy server basically bounces all your internet traffic through it so it appears that you are in the UK

Google for UK proxy server and see what you can find.
The phone number has nothing to do with it - I don't have a phone number as I don't have a landline.

You need to reword your question title to get the techies attention:

How do I fake my IP address to another country?
So I can access barred websites.

I know it used to be relatively simple, but it has become harder to do, precisely because of the big companies such as BBC putting content on the web intended for licence paying UK residents. I suspect it can still be done, but I can't do it. I used to enjoy the Pandora website but it is now impossible to access the US site.
