Pen for CD or DVD

When recording on a blank DVD or CD, what type of pen should I use, is it OK to use a normal biro or felt tip to write on the printed side of the disc so I know what I have recorded or must I buy a special pen ?

..... funny though - none of his discs seem to work!
I just use ordinary felt tipped illegible pens (sorry ... indelible)
just be careful not to saw away making nice thick lines ... it will damage the disc - just buy a thicker tipped pen
I think most supermarkets sell them as well ... (tessys does)
they are so cheap it's pointless buying them on line for a quid and spending �6.00 on postage
