I made a CD on my laptop, it plays back on the laptop, but not on my stereo, the display says no disc, why is that?

What format is the music? If it is mp3, does your stereo play mp3?

Yes it does usually, I have done it many times before, my laptop was not working recently and I had to re-install windows, could it be a fault with the laptop when transferring the songs or maybe a faulty batch of blanks Cd's?
most steros dont play copied CDs or CDs made on computers/laptops.
my adivce to use it to make the CD in audio format instead of mp3 as most cd players are lame and dont work with mp3 format you can burn CDs with audio format on nearly every CD burning software.
i had the same problem but with my car stereo try using sonic stage it works wonders!!
hope this helps x
