ripping dvds on laptop or pc

I want to know how to rip a film to go on to my computer as I am struggling on how to do it

You need to get software which will copy the dvd to your hard drive. Several free ones are available but personally I usually use DVD shrink.

You will require DVD Shrink to convert and compress the movie, along with cracking hte protection code on the DVD. You will then need Nero to burn the film to a disc.
