problems with ipod recognition

my pc is not recognising any ipods. I have updated itunes and windows. But still no joy. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi Petal.

I know nothing at all about iiPods. I don't own one (or any other form of MP3 player) and I've never even used one. But you asked me (in CB) to try to answer your question. Try looking through this lot:
