what is an ipod actually 4? Is an ipod just like a walkman/mp3 player but it can store loads, loads, loads more or can u use it 4 more than just listening 2 music?

Its more of a status thing imho....but have to admit they look cool...but u cant have ur mates around to ur house to have a listen like back in the 70s with everyone pulling out a vinyl lp and going over the credits etc....figuring out what to put on the turntable next...some how it isn't the same...the tracks become annonymous....and no lyrics to peruse ...and of course everyone knows quantity doesn't always go hand in hand with quality...

ipods can store a hell of a lot of mps, i have one and they are very good, esp. if you dont often get time to sit down and relax - you can listen to music when you're doing house work or gardening or running around the shops. You can also play games and take music quizzes on them ( it plays a random clip and you have to say what it is ). I think the best bit is being able to play every track on the ipod one after the other in no order - you never know what will be next and you dont have to change the cd all the time!

i do love my ipod! we have an iriver too, it's technically better but being a fickle girly i have the ipod cos it looks good! other than the music there are some games on it - like beat the intro.

The iPod can also be used as a portable hard disk - just as lonk as you have firewire (or iLink) on your computer
