Adding on another computer to a wireless router

I had a computer man come and set up my wireless router to my laptop. I now want to add another computer to the router, any ideas how I would do this. Is it quite straight forward. My router is a BT model and I want to add a desktop to it with a wireless capability. Is it a question of finding the leads to connect to the wireless router and plugging them into the back of the computer and it will connect. My wireless is a secure system. As you can tell, I am not a computer expert by an means, but any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks Riptide

You may simply be able to connect just by turning the new pc on, and entering the 'key' when prompted.

If your desktop pc is going to be close to the router, you would be far better off connecting to the router with ethernet cable than be wireless.

Thanks Ethel, my computer is actually upstairs with the router downstairs. To show my ignorance, what is the"key"?

Thanks for your help.

The key is the password for the router security. :)

If your router is not secured, it should be.
